EPS is a near-perfect material: 98% air and 2% inert plastic, harmless to the environment. Thanks to its insulating properties, EPS has been helping to reduce energy consumption for over 65 years. When buried, this material does not contaminate air, soil or groundwater. EPS has always been CFC- and HCFC-free.
ATTENTION! Do not confuse EPS (expanded polystyrene – typically white) with PSX (extruded polystyrene – typically blue or pink).
